Research activities carried out by LRI Carbon team - Madagascar

As part of p4ges project supported by NERC-DFID-ESPA program, a branch named WP4 Carbon and coordinated by LRI team (Laboratoire des RadioIsotopes) was formed to find out carbon stocks on different modes of land use to better understand how different land uses influence carbon stored in a landscape. It aims to quantify carbon stocks of all carbon pools recommended by the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); including: above ground biomass, dead wood, leaf litter, root biomass and organic matter. Recently, the team undertook a field mission in order to determine carbon stock in tropical forest. For further information, click here.
