In southern Benin, on the Allada plateau, the oil palm is a pillar of the rural economy. Palms are cultivated on plots of a few hectares by a large majority of villagers, but the first years are not productive. The Palm grove will only be productive after 4 to 5 years of planting. To optimize the cultivated land, farmers associate different annual crops, pineapples, tomatoes or cassava with palms.... Watch the video
