Conference « Climate Smart Agriculture 2015 » : a tremendous turnout for CaSA team
The 3rd Global Science Conference « Climate Smart Agriculture » held in Montpellier, France on 16 -18 March 2015 has gathered more than 700 participants coming from all over the world. The event has assembled representatives from various scientific organisations and a large proportion of CaSA team was present. Among of network members who has presented an oral presentation was the Pr Tantely Razafimbelo, project coordinator. It was about the impact of climate smart practices on soil organic carbon storage in Madagascar. With her colleagues, the Dr Yacine Badiane has developed a topic entitled « climate change and agriculture : what alternative for the future ? » and the Dr Drevon Jean-Jacques, has presented the Phosphorus use efficiency in symbiotic N2 fixation for coupling bio-geochemical cycles in agrosystems with legumes. Many members of CaSA has also the opportunity to present the results of their study through posters during the event. Among them was Cournac Laurent, Lydie Lardy, Bernoux Martial, Alain Albrecht, Hervé Guibert, Yemadje Pierrot Lionel, Razakamanarivo Herintsitohaina, Narindra Rakotovao, Hervé Aholoukpé, Bernard Barthès and many others.
